The event is FREE TO THE PUBLIC.
Where is the event held?
The event will be held at Whitmore Park, corner of North & 3rd Streets in downtown Ceres.
What time is the event?
Teams arrive on Friday to setup. Meats are prepared by the teams throughout the day. A Cooks Meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Friday evening. The public is welcome to walk around the Competition Area to see the different smokers being used and to talk to the Pitmasters about barbecuing techniques. All teams are optimistic about being crowned Grand Champion. Choose your favorite team on Friday night and come back on Saturday to watch them turn in their meats and cheer them on during the awards.
From Noon to 1:30 p.m. spectators can watch a new meat being judged every half hour. BBQ Food Vendors will be open all day to satisfy your hunger for great BBQ. Spend the day riding the carnival rides, viewing the arts and craft exhibits, purchasing unique gifts from vendors, enjoying the music, eating great food and refreshing yourself with alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic beverages.

On street parking throughout downtown is available.
What should I bring?
We recommend you bring lawn chairs, blankets and sunscreen.
Can children attend this event?
Yes, of course. This is a family-oriented event.
Do event proceeds benefit a charity?
All proceeds of this event will fund the Ceres Chamber of Commerce. At the Board's discretion, a portion of the proceeds shall benefit the Ceres Chamber Scholarship Foundation.
